Start by checking where you are at right now by going to the doctor and have a physical exam.Nobody likes this but it will tell you if there are any problems and the doctor will be able to advice as to what to do about it.
Another thing you can do is become a volunteer. Not only can volunteering make improvements in your community, it can make improvements in your life. You will have the joy and satisfaction of helping others as well. For maximum benefits, you should volunteer on a regular basis.
Learning from your mistakes is something else you can do to live longer. But do not linger on them - learn to laugh at them. Having a sense of humor about things even when they are not perfect can definitely help you to live longer.

We can control the quality of the air we breathe and the food and water we consume. We can control what substances we introduce into our bodies (alcohol, social drugs, tobacco) and we can control how much sun exposure we receive as too much is not good and too little is also not healthy.
