3 Simple Must Do's To Find Your Soul Mate

Looking for your Soul Mate?

By Wendy Bridger

Looking for your Soul Mate?

All women who are looking for love hope to find the man of their dreams. Nobody wakes up in the morning and says, “I hope I end up with a horrible guy.” So why do some women luck out to find their soul mates while others end up in mediocre relationships? Does it take a psychic to determine your romantic fate? Of course not.

You choose whether or not you find your soul mate in this life. This decision is often thwarted by unconscious actions on your part, but it is still a choice. Here are some examples of how women stand in the way of finding their soul mate.

Let go of your boyfriend if he’s Mr. Wrong.

Are you holding on to your current relationship only until something better comes along? This strategy makes emotional sense, as it keeps you from being alone. However, staying coupled up greatly reduces the chance of a better guy taking you seriously as a romantic prospect.

Now is the time to decide if the guy you are with has soul mate potential or not. If he doesn’t, gather the courage necessary to be single for a while. Who knows, your soul mate might have been waiting for you to do so! Even if it doesn’t happen overnight, it is more likely to happen when you are not coupled up.

Reach for your dreams.

Maybe you’ve always dreamed of doing certain things with your soul mate at your side.  Things like buying your first house, getting your advanced degree, or taking a trip to Hawaii.  While it might be more fun to do those things together, why stop progressing just because you’re still single?

Stopping and waiting will only make you depressed or a less desirable prospect. Moving forward with your personal dreams will better you as a person and make you a more attractive partner when you soul mate does enter the scene.

Discover your real needs.

Do you have an idea what you want in a soul mate? Most people do. However, do you know what you need? Sometimes we get what we wanted, only to feel unsatisfied. This happens when our underlying need is still unmet. For example, you may want a guy who belongs to your same religion and goes to church every Sunday. However, you’re underlying need might be to find someone who has the same spiritual depth as you do. Can you see how you could find a guy who goes to church regularly, but has no deep spiritual foundation?

Knowing the difference between your needs and your wants will determine much in your relationships. If you get what you wanted and not what you needed, you will not be satisfied. Discover your underlying needs, and you’ll discover what you need in a soul mate.

Remember, looking for your soul mate means continually progressing and understanding yourself in your own life and realizing that fate has little to do with finding him. Begin today by letting go, moving ahead and understanding your needs. You’ll be happy that you did, whether you find him tomorrow or somewhere in the more distant future.
