Stores are running out of the wii faster than anything ever before. The wii is selling at a rate of 17 units per second! Isn’t that incredible? So if you’re looking to get your hands on a wii it will be tough.

It is very possible to find a wii in stock online. Since this is such a high demand item, sellers are doing all that is in their power to supply the public with it. If you buy it online, you can usually have it at your doorstep within a couple of days.  These console systems are usually brand new and come with a receipt in case anything goes wrong.

Figuring out where to buy a Wii online can be confusing though. Many buyers are reluctant to purchase online because they don’t want to be ripped off.  Here are some quick tips to make sure you buy a Wii online safely, and aren’t disappointed:

- The website where you choose to buy the system should be recognized like eBay. Keep your eye out for small, fishy looking websites.

- Use a reliable payment service, like PayPal. PayPal is owned by eBay, and has excellent buyer protection programs if you pay using them. If you can use a credit card or bank account through PayPal, you are better protected than if you mail a check or money order. Most sellers ship faster too for online payment. If the seller does not come through, you will at least get you money back.

- Look out for the seller’s rating. Especially on eBay. Sellers should have a few hundred sales under their belt and should have a green (positive) rating. If they have the word “powerseller” beside their name, that means they sell a lot and are trustworthy.

- Make sure to compare prices before you buy. On eBay you can see the auctions that are about to finish or auctions that are already finished. Check against these prices. The prices will usually be lower than the ones you’d find in retail stores.

- Make sure that you are getting exactly what you need. Sometimes the consoles come bundled with useless stuff that you have to pay for, but sometimes these bundles are a great deal. Check to see if the controllers and nunchucks are present.

- Buy from a seller with a cash-back return policy. If your system doesn’t measure up, you want to have the choice to get a refund.

- Ask questions before bidding. Get your answer before bidding so you don’t win an auction you didn’t want to win.

Make use of the tips I have mentioned to make sure you get the Nintendo wii system that you or your family is looking for!
