Is He The Right One? Pay Attention To The Signs!
Recently, I woke up to discover a car with a broken axle sitting in front of my house. To me, it symbolized a part of human nature that can cause problems, and can even keep you from ending up with your true love. Let me explain. I live close to an intersection that was closed due to construction. Leading up to the intersection, there were all kinds of signs posted letting drivers know that the road was closed.

I live close to an intersection that was closed due to construction. Leading up to the intersection, there were all kinds of signs posted letting drivers know that the road was closed.
This wasn’t all too fascinating to me. Anyone who drives has seen these types of signs before. What was interesting was the number of people who drove all the way to the road block before turning around in our drive way to find a different route. They had to pass at least 3 signs, and stop in front of a physical barrier before they were convinced that the road signs were telling the truth. One morning we even woke up to discover a car that had went around the road block and had broken its axle when it fell into the hole on the other side.
What is it in our nature that makes us refuse to follow the signs? The intersection was closed, and nothing could change that fact. Each of us often feel we are above the rules somehow. But no matter what we feel or think, the facts are the facts no matter how we choose to approach them.
Sadly, too many of us follow this same pattern in our love lives. There are telling signs along the way informing us where our relationship is headed, and may of us think if we don’t acknowledge them, they will go away. Sometimes, women stay in a relationship going nowhere because of this. Other times, we drop a guy too quickly just because of a tiny bump in the road.
What types of relationship signs can you see on your relationship road? Here are a few to look for: 1. Recognize if you are compatible with each other. 2. Identify if you are both heading down a similar path in life. 3. See if universal values like honesty and fidelity are part of your relationship. 4. Know the attributes that will destroy any relationship and avoid them.
