Rhonda Byrne never thought of herself as a person who would be producing films, writing books, or doing television interviews. “The Secret” came to her one evening after reading a book her daughter had given her. With a great deal of faith and a great lack of funds, she immediately began production on her movie.
Rhonda believes that when you have faith, you are like a magnet. Feelings of trust come to you, assuring you that everything will be fine even if you don’t understand how. When you say “I am...”, you will be what you believe. For example, if you say “I am broke,” you’ll feel as if you have nothing in the world, when in reality, you just don’t have any cash at the moment.
When you say “I am...” as in “I am broke,” you should always try to concentrate on positive statements. Being broke isn’t a positive thing to tell yourself. Your legs are a tool to get you from one place to another physically, so your mind is a tool to get you where you want to be mentally. Only you can decide what makes you feel good.
People might call Rhonda Byrne crazy. While working on the movie production of “The Secret,” she had no money. She didn’t let that get her down, though. She went to an ATM to withdraw money for bills, and she handed it to people on the street at random. That certainly wouldn’t make most of us feel good, but everyone is different, and at that moment, giving away money made Rhonda feel good.
Rhonda truly feels it’s up to each person to do what makes them feel good. In her case, it was giving away money she desperately needed for herself. For you, only you can know. Feeling love in your heart will transform your life. Listening to your own inner voice or inner wisdom will help you to focus your mind like a laser beam.
The law of attraction is all about focus, really. Decide what you want, think about it continually, and somehow, it will come to you. Think about the way Rhonda Byrne was giving money to strangers to make herself happy. She did the same thing after the movie was finished by giving DVDs to people in Africa so they could begin to better themselves.
Just as the law of attraction is about focus, The Secret is about giving. Fill your heart with love, and then give it away. You can’t give anything away if you don’t have anything, so focus on yourself first. Soon, giving to others will be part of who you are.
