In your dealings in life you may have noticed how certain individuals have the ability to influence others easily. What you may not know is that they are using a special technique known as conversational hypnosis. By using this hypnosis technique, they can control a conversation in such a way that they lead a person along and manipulate their thought process. It is done through a subtle technique known as conversational hypnosis. By using this subtle technique, controlling a conversation and leading a person where you want them to go becomes very easy. Conversational hypnosis and covert hypnosis are usually used interchangebly by some. The reason for this is that the individual that is being led along is usually unaware that they are being hypnotized. In some cases, a person becomes aware that the individual they are speaking with is trying to direct them with covert techniques and thus becomes noneffective. If you can learn to master this technique, however, it can be used as a powerful tool for influencing others in both business and your personal life.
There are some basic steps that one needs to take if they are going to use conversational hypnosis. First we need to consider that it is nearly impossible to use this technique on someone you just met unless you warm them up to it first. Warming someone up or building rapport is actually the first step in this process and helps you to build trust with the individual. Don’t be lead to believe that you have to know someone for months or years though. If you can connect with an individual mentally they will begin to develop trust on their own. This can be done in a number of different ways.
One of the easiest ways to develop a rapport with someone is to be understanding and agreeable with them. You can do this subtlety by letting them understand that you concur with every thing they are telling you. This has to be natural as to not raise any suspicions and blow your cover. A good example of this would be if the individual you are conversing with mentions that they do not like hybrid cars. Coming into anothers way of thinking can be done by agreeing with them that hybrid cars are not something you seek out either.
The second step of the conversational hypnosis process is where you actually begin to influence the individual you are speaking with. This can be done by either nudging them or gently guiding them in the direction you want them to go. If you have done step one effectively, the individual will be more apt to allow you to lead them in the direction that suits you. You may have noticed that people who are in sales have developed this technique because it is a very effective way of landing a sale from a cold lead. Once you master this technique for yourself, you will be surprised at how you can have people literally eating out of the palm of your hand.
