Sports’ in India is not a new thing and neither is the game of Cricket or the gentleman’s game as the call it. Cricket has grown to tremendous heights in India mostly because of the number of viewers they have to watch the game not only the billions of people who are in India but also the other non resident Indians who watch the game with passion as well. The game has made players like Sunil Gavaskar and Sachin Tendulkar be viewed as gods. Their fan base has grown and expounded to more than just love for the sport but love for the players and how they play the game. Sachin has also gotten good deals from sport companies like Adidas and is the first India to be given a Ferrari which was signed by one of its greatest drivers Michael Schumacher by another company that he also advertises for Fiat. Indian cricket has become such a big following especially when they face their greatest rivals in the game Pakistan and this is not only a show of who is greatest but sometimes it does sip into the political arena. But peace reins high between the two countries though I would say that of current India is riding high in winning them in every cricket match they have been meeting them in.
