Millions of people surf the web every day to find an online business they can run from the comfort of their homes, to make some extra money, or to make them rich. The sad fact is, that they often tend to fall for opportunities that are nothing but scams.

It is a proven fact that the majority of so called home based business opportunities are nothing but scams. The hard part is to find the legitimate ones.

If this is your first time to search for a legitimate work from home online business, it will be hard for you to see what is real and what not. The bad guys are clever, they know exactly how to lure you into joining them.

Their web sites are extremely enticing, because these guys know exactly what you are looking for. They show you “proofs” of their online wealth with pictures of them with their nice little family in front of their big new house, and in front of their new million dollar sports car. And they often show you “proofs” of their great PayPal and ClickBank earnings.

Ok, let us be fair now and assume that their earnings really come from the opportunity they are promoting. However, you will never know if these earnings come from only their own personal efforts, or if they have a group of people behind them that promote the opportunity as well, but collecting all the earnings into one mutual account!

They count on you falling for that crap! The pictures they show you could just as well have been copied from some catalogues or be photoshopped some way to fool you, you have no way of verifying that anything they claim is really true. Just keep in mind that if the opportunity seems too good to be true, it most probably is.

The key here is to sort out the good guys from the bad ones. If you find a company that you are interested in, research its website carefully. Does it tell you everything you need to know about the business, such as the compensation plan, are the founders visible, and does the company provide you with all the tools and training you need?

One more thing, do you have any previous experience in working on the internet? Do you have any knowledge in HTML, web site design, adsense, adwords, search engine optimization, autoresponders, marketing your business and everything that comes with this kind of business?
