Information about Microsoft Office products can be found on several websites, including self-paced training courses for FrontPage.  Online courses are numerous and include such topics as "Create a Web site with FrontPage", "Hyperlinks I: The basics" and "Work with graphics in FrontPage".  The courses range from 20 to 50 minutes in length and have been rated by users.  Each course lists its objectives and requirements, and many offer audio content as well.

Unlike other HTML based web design programs, when learning how to use Microsoft FrontPage, the user utilizes automated web templates.  The templates include an automatic navigation system that creates animated buttons for user-added pages, and then along with the structure of the website uses those buttons to create a multi-level navigation system.  This affords a quick and simple means of connecting pages to each other, without using complicated code.

If the user prefers a study-by-doing method of learning how to use Microsoft FrontPage, then online test drives and downloadable trial versions are available on a variety of websites.  These options allow the user to try FrontPage in real time, and to step through the process at home for a couple of months.  Usually these are the most recent version of the software package and can be converted to a licensed version if desired.

Along with online training courses, some sites offer video demonstrations for learning how to use Microsoft FrontPage.  These demos can assist novice web designers, but also offer some advanced instruction.  Demos include information on managing the web site remotely, and using interactive buttons to brighten the site.

One reason learning how to use Microsoft FrontPage works well for novices is the availability of automated web templates.  Inclusion of these templates makes it simpler for users to create web pages and to add content.  As animated buttons are included
