The Battle House, a Renaissance Hotel, nestled in on the lovely Royal Street in Mobile, Alabama, is a decadent southern gem whose attention to detail is simply beyond measure.

Originally built in 1852, the Battle House was quietly closed in the mid-70s so that she could endure a face lift that spared no expense.  The Battle House is on schedule to reopen in the summer of 2007 following her decades long extensive renovation.

This genteel Southern lady is scheduled to re-open during the middle of 2007 and focuses on pure decadence and opulence.  With more than 200 rooms and more than 30 suites, this 8 story non-smoking hotel is located near the Robert Trent Jones Golf trail and is designed to allow you to feel as if you have stepped into a little piece of heaven on earth.  The attention to detail and this amazingly appointed site make this luxurious hotel a must see in Alabama.

Even though the glorious rooms of the Battle House are something to drool over, you will be even more impressed with the luxurious and divine spa that has also been completely refurbished.  The massive undertaking left the Battle House with a spa that invades every sense and tickles the fantasies of that little spoiled rotten child in all of us.

So, with the newly remodeled and majestically appointed Battle House, the owners have decided to also pay attention to the frequent business traveler and not just the Alabama vacation crowd looking to be delighted.  When traveling on business it is stressful enough as it is, so if you can relax at the day’s end and enjoy some of the amenities of the resort then perhaps business travel won’t be sad bad and perhaps it will be even more successful.

If you are looking to host a business meeting or even a small gathering of clients, then look no further than the Battle House.  With over 26,000 square feet and 12 meeting rooms, this historic grand lady is sure to please your business clients as well.  Service to business clients is designed to be seamless and to allow you to focus on the work at hand.

The attention to detail is one of the recurring themes of this resort.  The nightly turn down service, the complimentary coffee and tea located in each room and the morning newspaper found at your doorstep are just a few simple examples of the quiet customer service that is standard at the Battle House.

Restaurants and lounges located on site include the Royal Street Lounge, which offers nightly entertainment and homespun cocktails, the lovely Trellis Room, which offers a delectable spread of Italian fare and the Joe Cain Caf, open for breakfast and lunch lures guests with delicious snippets such as gourmet coffees, pastries and pretty little sandwiches.

Also, within just minutes of the resort you will find several recreational activities in which you can indulge...that is if you can tear yourself away from the magnificent resort.

If you are looking for a vacation along the Gulf Shores of Alabama or if you have a business trip taking you into the Mobile area, do yourself a favor and book a stay at the enduring and glorious Battle House, one of the great southern gems.
