Twist in a gentle downward motion small sections of hair. The split ends will stick out. Take your scissors and snip into the twist. Do not cut completely through; just cut into the thickness to remove the split ends and give a layered effect.
Cut the same amount from each twist. The simple, least expensive ideas are sometime the best ideas. Get to trimming.
