With satellite TV there are three types of usage - directly by each viewer, reception by local television affiliates or reception by head ends for distribution across cable systems.

A satellite TV system used to be an expensive, even considered luxurious service in the past. Nowadays it is quite affordable and many consumers prefer it, moreover the cost of the cable television has been steadily rising from some time. The subscribers of satellite television receive high quality, digital signal and some service packages come with many additional services included in the price (internet access, radio, etc). One of the greatest advantages from a user point of view, of the satellite TV system is that it offers additional data about shows, a feature unavailable in traditional cable television.

On Marine TV

Most systems feature over three hundred channels that are of digital quality along with CD quality music from various regional satellites around the world.  The satellite offers a clear signal even in some of the most extreme marine conditions.  The operation is simple and generally automatic as well, with easy-to-adjust settings to move and position the satellite for optimal performance.

Morale of your vessel and its crew is also raised with the experience of satellite TV on board.  Not only does it provide hours of entertainment for the worker or family member, but satellite TV takes away that feeling of isolation from the rest of the world due to the sophistication of the technology and the variety of the programming offered on most networks.

On Direct TV

Your house may be located in a spot where cable television can’t be broadcasted to so you need a dish that collects the signal and sends it to your receiver so it may appear on your television. This is called the direct TV satellite service. From the satellite it is broadcasted to your single dish or the dishes around your house and then to your receiver or receivers. This is better picture and audio quality than cable because it’s digital and not analog.

About car satellite TV

The technology for this equipment has been available for years in the form of marine satellites or on buses or other larger modes of transportation.  Recently, however, the sizes of the satellites have gotten smaller and are made considerably more accessible to sit right on top of the modern automobile.

Generally, the car satellite TV system is marketed at parents interested in some peace and quiet on the road.  Commercials and other marketing campaigns have generally been directed at “soccer moms” or other parents involved in the daily grind of parenting and moving their children around from schools to church and sporting events.

On Bell Satellite

Some satellite channel packages even cost less than digital cable and allow you to choose and customize the packages you want. Bell satellite TV is also very easy to set up. Bell Express Vu satellite dishes are no bigger than a frying pan and once they’re installed, that’s it. They don’t need any maintenance or hassle.
